I’m a socially conscious creative driven by the desire to harness my gift to impact the world. I’m eclectic, zany and I love to push boundaries..experiment. I’m stimulated by the desire to present unique and novel perspectives of Africa. As a Director, Writer and Producer I focus on stories with multicultural appeal, impact and flavour.

In a small village in the mountains where the men rule and the women follow, trouble is brewing. As the villagers’ desperation descends into witch hunting, violence and virgin sacrifices, a fiery – natured outspoken girl, Sungano defies patriarchy and tradition to emerge as the village’s heroine in this supernatural drama.

Nayeem Mahbub
Nayeem Mahbub is an international script consultant originally from Dhaka and currently based between Stockholm and Tallinn. He has consulted and mentored for EAVE Producers Workshop, LIM Boosting Ideas, Hamburg Series Lab and European Short Pitch amongst others, as well as on a project basis. Before switching to consulting, he worked as a film and video editor. He is an alumni of the multinational documentary DocNomads masters programme. He started his career writing and directing 2D animation in his native Bangladesh, followed by a short stint as a BBC World Service producer.
