The Pop Up Film Residency is enlarging its network of creative partners, in order to constitute a portfolio that covers a wide scope of filmic approaches and genres, and spread out in different regions of the world. We are therefore extremely happy to announce our two new creative partners, which will enable us to nurture exciting children film projects and to reach out to promising talents and projects from Latin America.
Pop Up Film Residency Warsaw Kids Film Forum
Organized by the prestigious New Horizons’ Association founded by Roman Gutek, Warsaw Kids Film Forum is Poland’s first international pitching forum for films and television series aimed at the children’s market, and is the Industry part of the Kids Film Festival. The Head of the Forum Maciej Jakubczyk comments on the collaboration: “We are delighted to become a partner of such an initiative. Our aim is to facilitate the production of European quality family movies and Pop Up Film Residency seems to be a perfect tool to give the projects right shape before they enter production. We are proud to support the award for the best pitch during Warsaw Kids Film Forum – our coproduction event.” Warsaw Kids Film Forum will take place from 25th to 27th of September 2019.
The well-known Sao Paulo-based Laboratory is the only audiovisual projects development laboratory in Brazil that receives projects from all regions of the country, from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula and for the first time also from Italy. The Pop Up Film Residency BrLab Award will be chosen amongst the 11 projects selected by BrLab that are in the initial phase of development and financing. Headed by Rafael Sampaio, the 9th edition of the BrLab will take place from October, 3rd to 9th of October 2019.
