New Pop Up Film Residency is here to provide yet another beautiful, safe and nurturing space for creative proces to come into full bloom and fruition.
The location is insane. Fårö – yes, this tiny island in middle of the Baltic Sea that Ingmar Bergman chose as his home! Our host, Brazilian scriptwriter & script consultant Helen Beltrame-Linné, nurtured herself a special relationship to the Swedish master, yet she is not related.
Helen is a Brazilian screenwriter and script consultant with a wide artistic and corporate background. Presently, her main focus is storytelling in fiction features and series, mostly in Brazil, the USA and Europe, where she has taken part in the TFL Script Lab and is currently a mentor in programs such as the Full Circle Lab and the Pop Up Film Residency.
The lucky first resident, Ashmita Guha Neogi, just arrived a few days ago from India to work on her feature debut project « Cold Ashes Can Cause Forest Fires » as part of the Munich Film Up! program. Ashmita won the 1st Prize of Festival de Cannes‘ Cinefondation 2020 with her graduation film « Catdog ».
Welcome to a house, and a residence, in direct contact with nature, perfect for filmmakers enjoying calmness.
