Since 2012, the Eurimages Fund directly addresses the issue of gender equality & of under-representation of women in cinema and in particular to supporting female-driven projects.
One of the implementation tools is the Gender Equality Sponsorship aiming to financially support projects, activities, residencies or events which, by sharing the same objectives as the Fund, are likely to give visibility to its activities and to promote gender equality.
Pop Up Film Residency responded to the call for proposals with a project of a residency dedicated to the 3rd or later project of a woman filmmaker.
