Thanks to our partnership with When East Meets West Co-production Forum, we met several intriguing filmmakers and projects to, in the end, bestow the Pop Up Film Residency Award to a Kazakh project A Winner is Seen at the Start by Zhannat Alshanova.
We cannot wait to see the further development in the story of 19-year old Mila and her path of learning to take the responsibility for important decisions.
This year for the first time we also considered documentary features and look forward to explore the new worlds.
