Claudia Bottino began her career on the writing team for the award–winning TV series Churchmen(ARTE).Duo, her first short film as a director was selected at numerousinternational festivals, including PalmSprings International ShortFest, Odense InternationalFilm Festival, London Short Film Festival and Sundance,where it played as part of Short FilmConnection in 2016. She co–wrote,Sirin, a first feature film directed byMontenegrindirector Senad Sahmanovic (Sarajevo Film Festival 2023). After directing her secondshortfilm,Seul, she worked on the screenplay ofTender Age, by Julien Gaspar–Oliveri,broadcasted on ARTE andscreened in numerous festivals, including Clermont–Ferrand andAngers Premiers Plans. The short was a finalistat the 2021 César Awards. Recently, she co–wroteLoin de la route, Hugo Vieira da Silva’s fourth feature filmproduced by Paulo Branco,currently in post–production. She also co–wrote the Netflix teen dramaCaught by awave,directed by Massimiliano Camaiti, and she is currently working on Hugo Vieira da Silva’s fifthfeature filmand Julien Gaspar–Oliveri’s first feature film,La Frappe, whose script was afinalist at the Sopadin bestscreenplay award 2023.
